ABOUT PRETI

Energy is in the forefront among the national priorities. From the financial angle too, it has a sizeable share in the annual budget of our country. Power generation has been a significant factor in the advancement of the developed nations. These nations almost reached a level of saturation in the field of power generation, fulfilling the energy demand of each country, no matter whether energy sources were available in their own land or not. This gave rise to the measurement of progress of a nation with the ‘per capita energy consumption as the yardstick’. PMCTW is the First Engineering College exclusively started for women in the whole world. Ours is one of the 34 colleges accredited by National Board of Accreditation. In the first phase, MoU has been signed with 5 International and National Organisations This college is the second Engineering College to obtain certification to ISO 9000 series in Tamil Nadu. Our college has been continually promoting the use of non-conventional energy. We have installed a number of non-conventional energy equipment and gadgets in our campus. Besides availing the cost-effective energy, we have been undertaking studies on them.
